Welcome to Lambourn C of E Primary School
Dear Parents, Carers and Friends of Lambourn C of E Primary School,
Welcome to our website!
We hope our website provides a window into our lovely village school. The school is a Church of England school for children aged 2-11. Staff, Governors, Excalibur- our Multi Academy Trust, our Church and local community all work closely together to ensure we put the children at the heart of everything we do, providing the very best education for our children in a happy, caring family environment.
The school sits in the stunning Lambourn Downs, within an area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The school grounds are extensive providing plenty of room for outdoor play and learning, we even have our own outdoor swimming pool!
Our school prides itself on our Christian values and the warm and nurturing relationships that it fosters, within the school community and beyond. Our children are seen as individuals and our aim is to enable our children to see their potential as unlimited. Children at Lambourn begin their journey as a learner from the time they enter our school, developing the knowledge and skills to become independent, skilled problem solvers, engaged in the learning that they do and to take responsibility for their role in their own learning. Our aim is that we develop children’s independence and instil a love of learning which will last them for a lifetime.
Our teaching staff work with energy and enthusiasm to plan a varied and creative approach to the curriculum that makes use of our incredible outdoor environment and the resources within the wider community. We employ a variety of engaging learning resources and teaching approaches. We believe that Lambourn C of E Primary School is an exceptional place to work and learn.
We hope our website reflects the values of Lambourn C of E Primary School. The best way to find out more about us is to come and see for yourselves what makes our school a special place to learn. Please telephone Alison Williams on 01488 71479 to arrange a visit.
I’ll look forward to showing you around and talking to you about our school community.
Mrs Rachel Perkins
